Here’s an overview of some of the latest resources and news…

New SEO Videos… and an SEO Rapper

SEO Videos:
The Search Engine Optimization Journal has released SEO Videos to help you keep on top of the game. I listened to the “Keyword Discovery Tool”, video — it is pretty basic with audio and views of the computer screen, but informative. Other titles there now are:

  • Meta Tag SEO Tips
  • SEO Videos: Title Tag SEO Tips
  • Reputation Management Tips in The Search Engines
  • Yahoo Local and Local SEO Tip
  • Google Maps and Local Search Engine Optimization Tip
  • Where to Begin with Search Engine Submission

Gotta check out the SEO Rapper:

Above, this “SEO Rapper” is fun to watch. Content that’s fun to watch? And teaches you too? And that is “viral” (record it once, upload to YouTube, and you never know where it will be shown). Yeah. “Now my name’s Scott and I’m here to say — you better think of rapping on your site today — why would you do that? Well, why would you not? You just might get more traffic than you thought — get down.”

SEO — Save the Baby: A new contest at YourSEOMentor.com is in progress. Yes, guess the gender, weight, and date of birth of “Your SEO Mentor” Garrett Pierson’s soon-to-be-born baby, and you will win many wonderful prizes. Now this is their first baby and they couldn’t be happier. So why not share their happiness and enter into a chance to win wonderful prizes such as an iPod Nano, Dave Harry’s SEO Handbook, one month banner ad at Kimberly Bock’s LearningSEObasics.com, etc.

And, speaking of SEO — take a look at some great ideas to help Google rank your blog blog higher.

Content Marketing: The Key to Effective Social Marketing

Have you heard the buzz-word, “Content Marketing?” It’s all about making your Content at your Blog and CMS website do the sales work for you. I think “Content” is one of the Five C’s of Social Marketing (Content. Community. Conversation. Connection. Convergence. Click to read article), but Content is the hot one that leads off the whole concept.

And, Find and Convert, an Internet Marketing and search engine optimization company, has announced that its marketing blog has been ranked #7 in the nation among content marketing blogs as ranked by Junta42. Do you have your RSS reader fired up? Now’s a good time to go see what “Find and Convert” is all about, and subscribe and read at least the top eight ranked content marketing blogs at: Top 42 Content Marketing Blogs.

Content Marketing Today blog is an excellent resource for Social Marketers
Above.. visit Content Marketing Today to brush up on your Content Marketing skills. What’s “Content Marketing?” You’ll get a the full answer there.

One I like a lot is currently #4 in the Junta42 (what’s a Junta? It generally refers to a small group ruling a country, but in this case it refers to those who rule with their Content, I bet) — Content Marketing Today, has excellent articles to help you focus on making your Content zing. Written by Newt Barrett, a very savvy Content Marketer with a knack for explaining things in an easy to understand way, there are a number of helpful sections there on Trends, eNewsletters, Blogging and more. How do I know he’s savvy? I work with him and collaborate on a number of projects where he takes what he preaches and puts it to practice with great benefit to our clients.
