The husband-and-wife duo of Christopher Fassnacht and Stephanie Pakrul, A.K.A. “Collective Mind,” have announced their premium Drupal theme store, at TopNotchThemes.com.

A study of the home page reveals some interesting strategic thinking. Note that it’s not named “DrupalTopNotchThemes.” Instead, the CMS Program takes a back seat to the designs which are aimed at empowering small business owners, developers, and online retailers — their target markets.
The pair, noted for Drupal theming work for Amnesty international, has picked up on a key nitche. “Over 100,000 people download Drupal every month. It astonished us that there weren’t themes of this caliber already available,” explains co-founder Stephanie Pakrul, on the motivation behind creating TopNotchThemes. The themes average $300 to purchase a non-exclusive copy, and around $2500 for a “buy out” (noone can purchase it after the buy out).
The themes set for “e-commerce”, make use of a module called “ubercart” as a shopping cart. Photoshop files are included with all downloads.
For a comparison, check out Drupal themes at FastStartTemplates.com (our sister site), where the downloads average $50 — WordPress themes availabe there too.
