Your suggestions are all good ones. I have certainly found that you can only hope to receive by giving yourself in the best way you can. This goes for making and receiving comments too. Saying thanks for comments is common courtesy and setting up RSS feeds to blogs of interest is a good tactic which pays off because you will get return visits.
